TRENTON — A city man lost his money, his cell phone, and his painkillers when he was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight on Hamilton Avenue Tuesday, police said.

The 39-year-old victim was walking on the 1100 block of Hamilton Avenue around 12:20 p.m. when he was approached by two men, Lt. Steve Varn said. One of the two men who accosted the victim was allegedly armed with a handgun.

As the armed man brandished the handgun, they took cash, the cell phone, and prescription medication from the victim, Varn said. No one was injured, and the two robbers soon fled the scene on foot.

The two suspects were described with similar features: black men, about 20 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin build; but one was wearing a gray hoodie, the other dressed all in black clothing with a mask and armed with a handgun.

No arrests have been made.
