Firefighters had to use a spreader and chocks to lift the car and free the man, who was pinned by the legs but had the rest of his body on the pavement, Battalion Chief Todd Fell said. Crews were called out to the 100 block of Proctor Avenue around 3:10 p.m. for the rescue.
Ladder 4 and Engine 10 worked to free the victim and placed him in the care of Trenton EMS. An ambulance took the man to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Information on the extent of his injuries is not available.
