TRENTON — The city’s recreation department could soon have a new leader.

Also at last night’s meeting, the council approved a $34,999 purchase for the city police department to buy and install three smart boards for the police station. Police officials said that the board will help officers and detectives in “intelligence-led policing” and be useful in the event that a number of different agencies are assisting in one investigation.

Council also approved $359,287 to go toward local nonprofit Isles Inc.’s Stockton Street Apartment rehabilitation project. The project will redevelop 10 mostly abandoned buildings in Trenton into 26 apartments.
