While leading chants of “Shame on you!” and “Release the funding now!” directed at Christie, Trenton pastors and local politicians called for the state to help fund a new high school in Trenton.
The rally, which was led by Pastor Mark Broach of Trenton Deliverance Center church, was organized by city pastors and other community members, Broach said.
Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Trenton) and Trenton Education Association President Naomi Johnson-Lafleur joined other local leaders and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Barbara Buono in speaking to the crowd.
