Mercer County nonprofits receive nearly a third of Horizon Foundation grant money

on November 12, 2013 at 6:30 PMEight Mercer County nonprofits have received grants from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, the charitable arm of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.
The grants, given to 35 organizations working to improve the quality of life of New Jersey citizens, totaled $691,250, the foundation announced Friday. The Mercer agencies accounted for nearly a third of that total.
