TRENTON – A high-ranking Bloods gangster implicated in a gang war in Trenton’s West Ward last year was shot multiple times and critically injured last night, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Fred “Mr. Pooh” Scott, 28, was shot in front of a home on the 200 block of Highland Avenue around 11:55 p.m. He took at least one shot to the head, said Casey DeBlasio, a spokeswoman for the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

Scott was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition this morning.

Scott, a city resident, was involved in a series of back-and-forth shootings last year along Stuyvesant Avenue, of which Highland Avenue is a side street. Prosecutors said in court in February that Scott had fired 20 shots on the 800 block of Stuyvesant last Christmas Day, one of which struck a 29-year woman.
