Trenton police responded to a call for shots fired around the 200 block of Ashmore Avenue at 2:39 a.m. While en route to the scene, police were notified that a female with a gunshot wound to the right forearm had been taken by a private party to St. Francis Hospital, Lt. Mark Kieffer said.
The female was not believed to be the intended victim and her injuries were not life-threatening, Kieffer said.
The victim said she heard shots fired and then felt pain in her right forearm, Kieffer said.
Police are looking for the suspect they believe fired a couple shots outside of the house party, and one, which hit the woman, inside the house.
