Trenton firefighters respond to small fire at New Jersey State Prison

TRENTON — Workers at New Jersey State Prison today were able to extinguish a small fire before city fire crews arrived on scene, battalion chief Todd Fell said.

Fire crews were dispatched to the prison at 2 p.m. on reports of a fire in a bathroom at the prison, Fell said.

“Got on scene, the crew entered and they had a pretty decent smoke condition in the building,” Fell said.
