Get Covered America partnered with the Trenton chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority, holding an enrollment event Thursday at Mercer County Community College’s James Kerney campus. There will be a second one tomorrow at Kingsbury’s Twin Towers from 3 to 7 p.m.
While tomorrow is the official deadline to enroll for coverage, the White House last week said it would allow anyone who starts the enrollment process by then to check a “special enrollment” box to get an extension until mid-April.
Get Covered America, the grass-roots campaign for Enroll America, a nonprofit group trying to expand coverage, has been visiting bus stops, supermarkets, churches, community centers and colleges to get the word out and help people enroll.
