Trenton’s National Congress of Black Women to honor five men for their service
The Times of Trenton Staff Writers | April 27, 2014The National Congress of Black Women, Trenton-Mercer Chapter, will honor five men for their service to the community today.
More than 250 people are expected to attend the group’s annual spring luncheon at the Trenton Country Club. The theme of the event is “Working Together — Moving Forward.”
“We honor men in the community every year for the sacrifices and contributions they have made to the people of the greater Trenton area,” said Jerlene “Cookie” Worthy, NCBW chairwoman.
“This year’s nominees are outstanding individuals who set a high standard for men in our city. We are thrilled to give them the recognition they deserve.”
