Trenton mayor-elect Eric Jackson meets with DCA hours after winning runoff election

TRENTON — Just hours after the results came in solidifying his victory as the next mayor of Trenton, Eric Jackson was meeting with the state Department of Community Affairs to discuss the future of the city he will lead starting in July.

Neither Jackson nor the DCA would comment specifically on what was discussed at the 10 a.m. meeting Wednesday.

“DCA and Mayor-elect Jackson had a very productive meeting,” said DCA spokeswoman Tammori Petty. “Both the DCA and Mayor-elect Jackson are committed to working together for the betterment of the city.”

Jackson was unavailable for comment after the meeting, but his campaign adviser and spokeswoman Julie Roginsky said the meeting was working toward fulfilling his campaign promises.
