Community health festival in Trenton to offer free, confidential screenings

on June 24, 2014 at 5:25 PM, updated June 24, 2014 at 5:45 PMTRENTON – A Community Health Festival will take place in the city Wednesday, with a number of organizations providing free and confidential health screenings and information.
The event, hosted in the parking lot at 416 Bellevue Ave., will take place from 2 to 5 p.m., with Trenton Mayor-elect Eric Jackson set to make an appearance at 2:30, according to a news release.
Community members who attend can receive nutrition and breastfeeding information, blood pressure screenings, HIV testing and NJ SMILE dental screenings, among other features. Healthy foods will be available for all, in addition to health-oriented games for children.
