Princeton Mayor Lempert supports Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson at city’s community forum

TRENTON — With Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert in attendance, one of the discussion groups during Tuesday night’s Trenton community forum suggested a relationship with the upscale town as a way to strengthen the city’s library system.

Lempert and Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson are certainly interested in a relationship, and Lempert said Princeton would benefit.

“The region is built around Trenton as one of the major hubs,” Lempert said, “and when Trenton is strong, it’s good for everybody.”

Lempert was invited by the Rev. Karen Hernandez-Granzen, a Princeton resident and pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church on Greenwood Avenue, which hosted the forum and the 86 community members who attended.
