Trenton center to offer behavioral health services

on August 05, 2014 at 7:10 AM, updated August 05, 2014 at 7:11 AMTRENTON — In an effort to care for people’s mental health as well as their bodies, the Henry J. Austin Health Center in Trenton will begin expanding behavioral heath services to patients.
“We are treating the whole patient,” said George Stokes, CEO of the series of four Henry J. Austin health clinics in Trenton.
“Our goal is to have one-stop shopping, not having to refer people out to different agencies,” Stokes said, noting that when people have to make another appointment to see another doctor they are less likely to make those efforts for additional care.
“We want to keep people internally and refer them down the hall or within the department,” he said.
