Juvenile Justice Commission Funding Available

The Juvenile Justice Commission announces the availability of funds and released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the following:

Name of program: Family Engagement and Advocacy

Purpose: The Juvenile Justice Commission seeks to contract with an agency or entity that will implement a multi-faceted family advocacy and engagement initiative at the New Jersey Training School. The initiative consists of four main components: (1) assessing the “family friendliness” of current visitation and other related policy and practices; (2) providing training to staff on the importance of, and effective ways to, engage and support families; (3) assisting families with navigating the juvenile justice system and accessing services, resources, and information needed to knowledgeably advocate for and support their child; and (4) developing and implementing an evaluation protocol to assess the impact and value of services provided through this contract.  Contracted services will be provided at the New Jersey Training School in Monroe Township.

Funding Amount: up to $36,000

Proposals Due:  October 20, 2014 by 3:00pm

Project Period:  January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015
