Trenton records its ninth homicide of the year after shooting early Saturday morning

Sgt. Robert Carrier confirmed the murder on Randall Avenue, but could not release any other details.
Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Casey DeBlasio also confirmed the killing, but would say only that a male was shot.
Police are investigating the crime — the tenth homicide in Mercer County this year.
Two weekends ago, a man was fatally stabbed in East Windsor, the only murder in the county outside Trenton.
