Independence Day events around Mercer County

Events will be held around Mercer County this week to celebrate Independence Day.

TOMORROW

EAST WINDSOR
The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. at Etra Lake Park. Jerry Rife’s Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band and Trenton Brass Quintet Plus One will perform, followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Barbeque grills will be available and vendors will sell refreshments. In case of rain, call (609) 443-4000, ext. 400. Rain date is Friday.

HAMILTON
Celebrations will begin at 6 p.m. at Veterans Park on Kuser Road. The Fabulous Greaseband will perform. Fireworks will follow at about 9 p.m. Rain date is July 5.

PRINCETON
The Princeton University sports field, next to the stadium, opens for picknicking at 7 p.m. and fireworks began at 9 p.m. Visit spiritofprinceton.org for more information.

THURSDAY

EWING

PRINCETON
Morven Museum and Garden will host a celebration from noon to 3 p.m. with demonstrations of colonial life and an opportunity for attendees to sign the Declaration of Independence. The Princeton Battlefield State Park will have an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Revolutionary War-period reenactors will perform demonstrations. TRENTON
A choral concert and picnic will be held at the Trent House on Market Street at 5:30 p.m. The first floor of the house will be open for tours. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. For more information, call (609) 989-0087 or visitwilliamtrenthouse.org.

LAWRENCE
