TRENTON — The city will hold its 20th annual Small Business Week events next week, with seminars on business management and strategy, a business expo at the Sun National Bank Center, and an address by a Frontier Airlines executive on why the airline chose to make Trenton-Mercer Airport its East Coast hub.

The event will kick off with a networking and awards breakfast at the Lafayette Yard Hotel on Monday at 8 a.m. and conclude Thursday.

Business awards for most improved appearance, most successful new business and small business of the year will presented.

During the breakfast event, Sibile Marcellus, a newscaster for the “Chasing New Jersey” news and public affairs program, will moderate a panel discussion on steps that city business owners have taken to be successful.

The panelists include real estate developer Michael Fink, president and CEO of Leewood NJ, who is building condos in the city; T.C. Nelson, general manager of the local bar Trenton Social; and artists Joe Kuzemka and Cathy Stone Campbell.

Small business owners can get help filing applications for loans on Tuesday at The College of New Jersey’s small business development center. A loan summary must be submitted by Monday.
