Mercer County Community College exhibit traces history of area arts community

Mercer County Community College is one of five venues in this region participating in the yearlong exhibit series, “Concentric Circles of Influence: The Birth of Artists’ Communities in Central New Jersey,” organized by Ilene Dube and Kate Somers.

Last week’s column spoke of the exhibits at the Princeton Arts Council, Princeton Public Library and Princeton Historical Society. Beginning Feb. 15, the New Jersey State Museum will host “Artists of Roosevelt.”

The Mercer County College exhibit, curated by Tricia Fagan and Mel Leipzig, features works by what exhibition materials describe as the “pioneering artists” of the Trenton Artists Workshop Association (TAWA).
