Trenton Museum Society’s new executive director looks to bring new ideas, programs

Several years ago budget cuts and layoffs threatened the future of the Trenton City Museum in the historic Ellarslie Mansion in Cadwalader Park, but fast-forward to today and the picture is vastly different. With the guidance of the members of the Trenton Museum Society and a number of events to raise money, the programs and collections available to visitors are growing and changing.

That change is most recently exemplified with the hiring of Donna Caraci Rhodes as the new executive director.

“I want to provide a cohesion for all of the activities,” Rhodes said. “Increase programming, increase visitors, increase tours.”

“It is always nice to have fresh ideas,” she said.
