TPPB Full Board Meeting April 8th 2015

The next Trenton Prevention Policy Board full board meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 8th at 3:15 PM, in the ComStat room of the Trenton Police Headquarters located at 225 N. Clinton Avenue in Trenton (not at TCNJ TrentonWorks). The first item on Wednesday’s agenda will be a presentation on how our working groups can connect their ideas for programs and practices to public policy at the municipal, county and state levels. In the past, TPPB has been very successful in producing and implementing innovative programs and practices–such as the adoption of the Trenton Violence Reduction Strategy and the development of a Teachers Handbook on Domestic Violence. Moving forward, we aim to expand on our successes by articulating a clear policy position alongside each of the programs and practices our working groups recommend.

Wednesday’s meeting will also include a presentation and discussion led by Jeffrey Wilkerson, PP, AICP – Principal Planner for the City of Trenton regarding Trenton250, a community driven long-range Master Plan that will guide Trenton through its 250th Anniversary in 2042. TPPB members will have the opportunity to share our experience and expertise in positive youth development measures in order to help shape Trenton’s urban planning process.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either  Sarah Aubrey (trentonpolicyboard@gmail.com) or Patrick Donohue (pdonohue@tcnj.edu).
