The Domestic Violence Group of the TPPB is co-sponsoring a Domestic Violence training for adults and mentors on February 20, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Carver Youth Center, located at 40 Fowler Street, Trenton, NJ. The training will focus on the dynamics of domestic violence and the role of power and control. Participants will learn to understand the tactics used by perpetrators, the warning signs of domestic violence, the affects on children and how to respond when faced with a situation regarding this type of violence. The training is free and open to all, particularly teachers, mentors, tutors and others working with you.
The training is be sponsored by the TCNJ Bonner Center for Civic and Community Engagement, the TCNJ Department of Counselor Education, AmeriCorps VISTA, the Trenton Mentoring Coalition, and Womanspace.
