TRENTON – Investigators arrested four people and seized $9,000 worth of drugs during a raid in Trenton’s Wilbur section Thursday evening, authorities said today.

The target of the investigation, 56-year-old William Laster, threw crack cocaine to the dining room floor when law enforcement officers entered, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said. Detectives had been investigating Laster for about a month before they were able to get search warrants from the home.

Three of the remaining five people in the house were arrested on outstanding warrants as detectives went through the house. They discovered 41 grams of crack cocaine, 50 grams of powder cocaine, 11 decks of heroin, a coffee pot with cocaine residue inside, plastic baggies, digital scales, and a small amount of marijuana, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Laster was charged with multiple drug offenses, and his Toyota Avalon and nearly $1,000 cash on his person were seized as drug proceeds, authorities said. He is being held at the Mercer County Corrections Center on $150,000 bail.
